Major Changes for PV Installs form 1 April 2022

Below is a summary of major changes coming into effect and will be mandatory for PV installs from 1 April 2022.

Installer Selfies On site

The CEC installer signing off the work must prove they are on site throughout the install process (beginning, middle, end). This can be done through the FormBay Solar App and has been available for some time.

Suggested selfies are (beginning = racking installed in background, middle = panels installed in background, end = inverter installed)

Solar Retailer Declaration

Solar retailers will be required to sign a declaration. The declaration wording can be found at https://tradeingreen.com.au/news/150-stc-new-written-statements-2022.html

Installer and Designer Separate Declarations

Installers and Designers will be required to sign separate declarations. Please read through carefully as the installer declaration has changed. These can be found at https://tradeingreen.com.au/news/150-stc-new-written-statements-2022.html

Inverter Serial Numbers

Inverter serials numbers are now required. Under the changes the serial will be validated against the manufacturers list electronically the same way panel serials are validated under SPV

This can be done through the FormBay Solar App and has been available for some time.
