Changes to Australian standards – DC isolators

The Clean Energy Council has recently sought to provide clarity on state and territory requirements for DC isolators (AS/NZS 4417.2). The requirements for some jurisdictions have changed from 30 June 2018.

All states and territories enforce electrical safety rules differently and the Clean Energy Council is providing updates on the dc isolator updates page on their website in relation to each jurisdiction.

To be eligible for small-scale technology certificates under the Small-scale Renewable Energy Scheme, registered agents must work with individuals and businesses to ensure that components, such as DC isolators, installed as part of a solar panel system meet Clean Energy Council requirements.

If you have any questions, you may contact the Clean Energy Council or your local state or territory electrical safety regulator.
