17/07/2020 -  Energy Safe Victoria has reverted back to include the Date of Completion as a mandatory field in the COES. As a result the installation date will no longer need to be noted in the ‘Description of work undertaken’ field within the form.

08/05/2020 - Trina Solar has entered into an Enforceable Undertaking (EU) with the Clean Energy Regulator (CER) in relation to Small-scale Technology Certificate (STC) claims where the solar panels were not eligible..

10/03/2020 - The Clean Energy Regulator (CER) has released STP percentage for 2020 at 24.40% which equates to 42.6 million STCs for the year.

18/11/2019 - The CER have sent out a reminder that version 13 of the Clean Energy Councils (CEC’s) guidelines for ‘Grid-Connected Solar PV Systems’ came into effect from 29 June 2019. This includes a limit to the number of installations an accredited person can sign off per day.

26/09/2019 - Recent changes to the format of the Victoria Certificate of Electrical Safety (COES) has caused some confusion around what information is required when creating small-scale technology certificates (STCs). The Clean Energy Regultor has released guideance on the requirements.

19/08/2019 - As at Tuesday 6 August 2019, all solar panels from China Sunergy (Nanjing) Co Ltd (CSUN) were removed from the Clean Energy Council's (CEC). CSUN panels were delisted as the serial numbers used did not allow identification of the place of manufacture, and connectors used differ from those advised on the datasheet.

12/03/2019 - The Clean Energy Regulator (CER) has released STP percentage for 2019 at 21.73% which equates to 37.5 million STCs for the year.
